Founded in 2018 in Tokyo, HitachiCool was built by a team of compressor engineers, controls specialists, and software architects who saw three converging forces reshaping the refrigeration industry: the global phase-down of high-GWP refrigerants under the Kigali Amendment (ratified 2016), the explosion of IoT connectivity in industrial settings, and the economic imperative to reduce energy consumption in cooling-intensive facilities.
In 2019, we shipped our first inverter-driven screw chiller platform. By 2021, our cloud monitoring service reached 2,000 connected assets. In 2023, we opened our third R&D center and surpassed 10,000 systems deployed. Today, as of 2026, we serve 74 countries with over 12,500 deployed systems and a cloud platform monitoring more than 8,000 connected assets in real time. Our AHRI-certified performance data (certificate numbers verified through the AHRI Directory at ahridirectory.org) and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management certification (issued 2020, renewed 2023) reflect a commitment to engineering integrity and environmental stewardship.
